Why Individual Therapy?
Life can get heavy, and trying to carry everything on your own is exhausting. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or trying to navigate a challenging season, you are in the right place. I provide a safe, down-to-earth, and completely confidential online space where you can let your guard down and figure out the next steps at your own pace.

Does This Sound Familiar?
When you are dealing with poor mental health or addiction, it doesn’t just affect your mood, it completely changes the way you talk to yourself. You might find yourself caught in repetitive, exhausting loops like:

-
"I should be able to handle this on my own, why am I struggling so much?"
-
"If I can just make it through this week, things will get better." (But the cycle keeps repeating).
-
"I am letting everyone down, so I need to keep hiding how bad things really are."
-
"Just one more drink, game, or distraction to take the edge off, then I will stop tomorrow."
How Rise and Recover Helps
We work together to untangle these heavy thought patterns. Instead of judging yourself for struggling, we look at the root causes and build practical, real-life strategies to help you regain your footing, find relief, and experience lasting growth.

What You Can Expect in Our Sessions
Taking the step to start counselling can feel intimidating, especially when it is online. Here is exactly what you can expect when we work together:

-
A Secure, Privacy-First Space: All sessions are conducted via secure video therapy. You get professional clinical care from the comfort of your own home, anywhere in Ontario, with complete privacy.
-
Collaborative Talk Therapy: This is a true partnership. We use one-on-one talk therapy to collaboratively explore your emotions, understand your patterns, and build real-world coping strategies to foster positive change.
-
Grounded Addiction Support: If you are navigating addiction, we look at how it intersects with your overall mental well-being. Please note that Rise and Recover provides talk therapy and does not manage medical withdrawal or detox. If you need medical intervention, I can help connect you with an inpatient facility or hospital, and I am glad to work alongside your medical care team with your explicit consent.
