Do you only work with clients who have addictions?
I assist individuals with a diverse array of mental health challenges, offering support and guidance beyond addiction-related issues. This includes depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, and relationship issues.
What are the types of addiction Treatment?
Rise and Recover offers one on one talk therapy. Additionally, there are many other treatment interventions for addiction. This includes inpatient rehabilitation, medication support, group therapy, peer support groups, and more.
What can I expect during a therapy session?
In a therapy session, you can expect a confidential and supportive space where we collaboratively explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals, working together to foster understanding, growth, and positive change.
Is in-person therapy more effective than virtual therapy?
The effectiveness of therapy is individualized, with some clients finding in-person sessions beneficial, while others thrive in the accessibility and convenience of virtual therapy.
Do you manage withdrawal or detox from substances?
Rise and Recover does not manage drug or alcohol withdrawal due to the increased need for medical intervention at this sensitive time. A referral to an inpatient facility, hospital, or treatment centre can be made if necessary. I may work in conjunction with your medical care team to provide updates, with your explicit consent.
Can I involve my family or spouse in the therapy process?
Family or spouse involvement in therapy is optional. With your explicit consent, you may have support persons present in one-on-one sessions if it helps to enhance your comfort.
What is the cost of therapy and do you take insurance?
The therapy cost ranges from $125 to $150 per hour depending on the type of service. While we don't process direct billing for insurance, you can submit your receipt to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. You may also contact your insurance provider to confirm eligibility of coverage.
